Aims/Objectives/Mission : Uttar Maharashtra Lok-Vikas Manch is the network of grassroots organisations working with rural communities in the region of North Maharashtra. There are five districts in the region. 21 organisations mostly NGOs and peoples’ organisations are the members of Uttar Maharashtra Lok Vikas Manch. Uttar Maharashtra Lok-Vikas Manch is engaged in developing perspectives of grassroots NGOs on the issues of regional development especially pertaining to Agriculture, women’s role in Panchayati raj and tribal development. Uttar Maharashtra Lok-Vikas Manch is also engaged in generating collective actions of NGOs at regional level through the planning in execution of Campaigns. Uttar Maharshta Lok-Vikas Manch is constantly engaged in building capacities of the member organisations in the area of organisational development.
