Aim/Objective/Mission : Falakata sanyog social welfare organization (fsswo) is a non-profit, non-religious, and non-governmental rural base organization, established in 2012. Fsswo is located at mahakal para village of falakata, distance from zillatown in alipurduar is nearly 33 kms. Fsswo has been playing an important role in the development of education, health, mass awareness of west bengal a group of enthusiastic and young men were conducting screening for child with disability. This activity inspired them to create the organization called falakata sanyog social welfare organization (fsswo) for the benefit of children with disabilities. It started with the aim of mainstreaming the physically challenged children. Then, it expanded to the development of farmers and the empowerment of youth and women. Similarly, the organization was supporting the educational and health needs of children of the locality. Falakata sanyog socialwelfare organization adopted a need based approach and its activities extended from falakata block to other blocks of jalpaiguri and alipurduar district. Through the help of different governmental and non-governmental agencies, fsswo transformed its status from institutional based rehabilitation to community based rehabilitation. This effort was made possible through the concerted actions of people who have a conscientious heart to help fulfill the dreams of that group of enthusiastic and young men. Vision to create sustainable livelihood among the marginalized sections of the community including people with disabilities (pwds) and live in a non-discriminating wholesome environment so that all people can get equal opportunity and actively participate in the decision making. Mission the mobilization of resources in the community for effective implementation of programs and services thereby uplifting the standard of living, empowering the community and the conservation of environment for a sustainable life and healthy well-being. Goal to engage in gainful activities for the empowerment of the poor and marginalized sector of the community along with the persons with disabilities (pwds) objectives oto promote unity and equality, thus, people will participate in the decision-making activities creating a society with equal opportunity for all, to involve in women development agenda for the prevention of gender discrimination, to engage in information education campaign on social abuses like rights and entitlements of people with disabilities, domestic violence, gambling, use of prohibited drug, health and sanitation, and other social issues, to assist in the early detection, treatment and rehabilitation of handicapped children and people with disabilities, to refer, motivate, and support the education of children and children with disability, to engage in total family approach in providing intervention, to organize beneficiary camps for consultation, provision of aid and appliances, cultural shows, sports fests, and other developmental activities. To strengthen the volunteer facility center in order to provide updated information and ready services, to train and retrain staff and volunteers to properly reach-out to the community, thus, better service delivery, to keep records and documents available at all times, to engage in livelihood for economic sustainability. To nurture the environment through taking part in greenery, home sanitation and cleanliness, use of organic fertilizers, and other related activities, to coordinate and implement youth development projects.
