Aims/Objectives/Mission : Asmita is a resource centre for women that was set up to create a space for women for a critical dialogue and reflection on feminist analysis and action on critical issues. It strives to build a cadre of young women who are capable, efficient and feminist in perspective and who can oppose violence and corruption with visions of an alternative. It provides legal aid and counselling for deprived, distressed women, conducts training on various issues like gender, Panchayat Raj System development, health and leadership.
