Aims/Objectives/Mission : Friend strives to enable poor rural/tribal households and communities to be self reliant on a sustainable basis in eco-stressed zone. Friend, a voluntary, non-political, non-profitable, social development organization is only involved in health, education, women empowerment, income generation, and right based programmes related women & child issues. Friend facilitates to enhance ability of rural poor households and especially women for increasing their incomes and livelihood security through capacity building, promoting client owned institutions, providing quality economic and social services. In the year 2000, a group of young people has stepped together to form federation for rural infrastructure and employment needy development”. Friend stands for the interest and aspiration of local people in the eco-stressed zone. The main aim of the agency was to initiate development process for socio-economic backward and vulnerable communities including women, children, dalits, tribal and rural artisans. It intervenes for the holistic development of the people in general and it contributes towards natural resource management for the sustainable development in particular.
