Purpose : Disability, Education, Rehabilitation Oral Aural Rehabilitation Of Young Age Hearing Impaired, Pre-School And Primary School For General School Readiness Of Deaf Child.
Aim/Objective/Mission : Aim is give every hearing impaired child chance to listen, learn and speak, thus, enabling him to be an active part of our essentially, hearing and speaking world. Our program is designed to strive towards development of speech to facilitate integration in regular school and the extend of effort in this respect would be the index of performance of the project and involving parents through counseling as an integral part of the preparatory intervention and ensure their participation in the programmers to be developed for early intervention. We conducted all relevant activities for the oral-aural rehabilitation of early age hearing impaired child, to enable him to have equal opportunities in the main – stream of society, general school readiness and their parents are equal partners in their developmental process. We run government approved permanently un-aided, non-residential balvikas special school for hearing impaired of capacity of 25 hearing impaired student and balvikas kendra, a center for rehabilitation of early age hearing impaired (language-speech-hearing training and parent training & guidance) for 20 hearing impaired children below 5 years about 45 mothers of hearing impaired students and kids of center joined regular as an equal partner at the center in every day activity of balvikas special school and balvikas kendra we conduct activities in disability area of hearing impaired in which survey of hearing impaired children, parent counseling, social awareness program, parent training, speech- hearing- language training, pre-schooling, health check-up, primary schooling, workshops, seminars, parents get-together, cultural activities, educational tour, picnic, festival celebrations etc. Exemptions we have 12a all contribution to ekvira multipurpose foundation, akola is tax exempted under 12aa of income tax act 1961 80 g all the donation in the name ekvira multipurpose foundation, akola is deductable under section 80g of the income tax act 1961 how many years are we active? Activities in the handicap area commenced since may 2008, especially for deaf n dumb of early age. Our core team – ent doctor, audiologist and speech therapist, special educators, counsealer, yoga trainer, general teacher, art/craft teacher, family counseler, social workers, you can help us to enable early age hearing impaired children to integrate in to main stream of society.
