Aim/Objective/Mission : Yuvasakthi, an initiative of a bunch of youth of these islands, is committed for the cause of women empowerment through self help groups and on lending through micro-finance. Besides, we have been relentlessly working for the upliftment of youth through various skill development programmes with the support of government stakeholder departments. Besides, we have been into the development of progressive farming through numerous nabard sponsored programmes. Now, we are actively involved in development of craftsmanship using locally available natural wealth like bamboo, cane, shells, coconut etc for which specialised trainings are being imparted to group of women and they are being organised into clusters in order to take the handicraft to next level Andaman & Nicobar islands being an isolated part of India, availability of resources, both in terms of skill dissemination or materials, are very sparse and we are focusing into turning unemployed youth into entrepreneurs through various skill development programmes.
