Purpose : The main focus of Jalandhar welfare society is to provide awareness among the citizen of Jalandhar.
Aim/Objective/Mission : Jalandhar Welfare Society (JWS) is MNGO working for upliftment of down troton and running day Childhelpline for the child in distress. JSW started in and working in the field of rent Health activities in slums of Jalandhar under UNICEF project 240 community health volunteers where trained for the slums area Bhargo camp, Jalandhar. Giving training to pulse polio volunteers of NSS student of SD College for women, Jalandhar and BSF School, Jalandhar. Working as district coordinator of NGO?s in Jalandhar for health department, Punjab. Presently JWS is active in Jalandhar district of Punjab in policy and advocacy of development issues. At the grass root level they are active in the district of Jalandhar. They have a cross working relationship with most of the NGOs and social activities in Jalandhar District. ?NGO? working for RCH and family welfare since 1991. We also conducted adolescent camps in different schools and slums of Jalandhar and we are also conductive camps for the family planning. RCH project undertaken SCOVA-(1996) UNICEF-(2000-2003) SOSVA (2004-2008) NRHM RCH II MNGO Project (2009) in different urban slums areas of Jalandhar. Ambulance van working on National Highway No.1 for the accidental people 24 hour service with the help of Punjab Police State Apex Committee of NGO?s Projects headed by Director General Punjab. JWS is also running a Old Age Home, free medical dispensary in Nari Nikatan Jalandhar.
Jalandhar welfare Society expresses the essence of living and upholds the need to appreciate the other man?s point of view first and to show consideration for fellow human beings. It also holds that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society as a whole. Attended Presidential Rotary International Pulse Polio Meet with Excellency Mr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi. JWS attended “Save the Girl Child” Meet with S. Manmohan Singh Prime Minister of India in Vigyan Bhawan (2008) New Delhi. The main focus of Jalandhar welfare Society is to provide awareness among the citizen of Jalandhar city health care with specific emphasis on RCH along with other activities of the society.
