We also helps the poor girls on their marriage occasion now our intention is to open a stitching center for sc/st society in slum/rural area where women are still treated as liability and cannot perform any skilled job. By opening this stitching center, interested women can learn the skill of stitching various kinds of dresses, embroidery, phulkari works, machine & hand knitting, and eventually can earn their lively hood in a proud and independent manner. Our intention is to open a computer centre for sc/st society in slum/rural area where women are still treated as liability and cannot perform any skilled job. By opening this computer center, interested women can learn the skill of computer.computer literacy would provide employment in software and hardware for identified slum youth in & around district jalandhar the trained youth would become skilled, productive and creative in computer related jobs. The targeted youth would have raise awareness of the community as a whole, including male members on the constitutional and legal rights of girls for education and development. The potential of adolescent girls and boys would contribute to the development of the community. The trained youth would develop the habit of saving and become self-reliant.

In education sector ?pahal? has large number of activities in awareness and promotion of education in the masses of unprivileged sector of population. It is running a special school under nclc, govt of india. Under rntcp, pahal in working for 2 tus in akshay project on tuberculosis gfatmr-9. It has provided 4 lab technicians to distt. Health department under rntcp, lt scheme. ?Pahal? has been providing vocational training to less qualified unprivileged youth under sdp, cdtp and sda govt. Of india. In environment sector ?pahal? is working for sustainable environment development with the activities of water conservation, soil conservation sector it is organizing programs and activities to enhance the communication skills of the youth today. Pahal has formed about 227 self help groups under the patronage nabard and mobilized 2700 rural women, who saved more than 2 cr of rupees. Pahal is working for rch-i( reporoductive & child health) and rch-ii under nrhm, govt. Of Indiathrough govt. Of punjab for 20, 000 populations of urban slums. Overall ?pahal? has earned very good credibility in the society and in the govt and no-government departments for their contribution to the society.
