Manthan sanstahn was registered as a society in 2010 to identify and promote model strategies that include Rajasthan s traditional communities, folk artists and craftspeople and in the country s rapid economic and social development. By inclusive development, manthan sansthan seeks to conserve cultural diversity-traditional habitats, skills, arts and knowledge systems-repositioning them so they serve as income generating assets in the rapidly modernising India with its globalising society. Mission manthan sansthan promotes and supports sustainable development and seeks to institutionalise social and economic development within civil society to help meet the challenges of growth and governance. Manthan sansthan drives change that creates increased livelihood opportunities among traditional communities, artists and crafts people inclusive growth through creative industries, responsible tourism and best practices conservation of Rajasthan s historic environment and traditional arts, crafts, knowledge & living culture – the region s primary tourism usp and preservation and promotion of cultural diversity.
