Purpose : Social Work.
Aim/Objective/Mission : Vision is reaching rural poor for creating self-sustained income base to improve socioeconomic status. Mission: sustainable development of impoverished communities through intervention of building community based human and natural resource development systems. Aims and objectives: organise the rural communities to form self-help groups in strengthening socioeconomic resource base take preventive measures to combat communicable and non-communicable diseases. Create greater awareness among general public and risk prone groups to combat further spread of hiv/aids epidemic. Supervise over child welfare centres to bring down malnourishment among women and children in rural poor communities appropriate measures involving rural communities to take part in village and environmental sanitation and to prevent contamination of drinking water sources, to impart skills of personnel hygiene, nutrition education and to adopt healthy life style habits. Take up rejuvenation activities to promote environmental sanitation and develop appropriate community based measures to control polluting hosts and agents in the villages. Setup vocational training centres to train women and girls in tailoring, embroidery, fashion designing of garments and to upgrade skills of rural artisans. To take-up dry land development activities involving farmers to develop their natural resources to boost food production and to have sustainable food security for their families.
