Aim/Objective/Mission : To promote and protect human rights in India by working with the victims of human rights violations and their organizations. It educates the victims and their communities, and facilitates and builds the capacity of organizations of victims to take collective action on their own. It addresses the issues of displacement and forced eviction, violence against women and children, exploitation, torture, abuse and discrimination against dalits (untouchable and low caste poor), and attacks on minorities and indigenous communities. Abolishing of dictatorship by particular group, associations, organisation or community or by political leaders, based on learning and work experiences, integrated democracy monitoring into its core activity as the basic path to rights for the above mentioned target group, participating in decision making and asking for accountability and good governance of the state in particular. It focuses on having a right to: social and political participation a sustainable livelihood education, particularly access for children, life and security identity investigates, reports on, and campaigns against human rights abuses. Tribal and dalit people, especially women and children, are its priority and protecting ones civil rights and constitutional rights.

Aim/Objective/Mission : Puttenahalli neighbourhood lake improvement trust (pnlit)?is a citizens initiative for the betterment of the neighbourhood with major focus on the preservation of the public open space called puttenahalli lake. The trust?got the municipality, bruhat bengaluru mahanagara?palike (BBMP) to start rejuvenating the lake and has signed an mou?to officially maintain the 13-acre water body that lies?between high rise buildings in jp nagar, in the south of bengaluru. Working closely with the BBMP, pnlit is steadily transforming puttenahalli lake into a place of serenity for the community and a secure habitat for birds and other forms of life. Since restoration began in early 2010, over 80 species of birds have been spotted in and around the lake. Pnlit s success has encouraged other resident welfare groups and individuals to take up the cause of lakes in their neighbourhoods. Among the awards conferred on pnlit is the prestigious namma bengaluru award, 2012. ?Apart from puttenahalli lake, the trust is also involved with other activities related to the betterment of the neighbourhood, such as environmental/ social awareness, supporting local businesses, promotion of cloth carry bags (non-plastic), addressing local issues, teaching support for students, etc. Pnlit meets expenses mostly from donations from well wishers and is actively seeking csr support. Donations to pnlit are exempt under section 80g of the income tax act. The trust is eligible to accept foreign contributions.
