Purpose : Environmental, alternative energy, orals history, tribal art
Aims/Objectives/Mission : Tamarind Tree, located in Sogve village Dahanu runs a campaign for social and environmental justice to protect the eco-fragile status of Dahanu. In addition, it works closely with a self help group of tribal artists to develop new methods of marketing and promoting their art. It has also initiated a oral history archival project documenting folklore.
