Aim/Objective/Mission: CHINYARD is a non-profit development initiative working in 152 villages of Dharwad, Haveri and Uttar Kannada districts in Karnataka State, India. Agriculture is the main occupation of these districts. As there are no major irrigation projects benefiting these regions, farmers have to totally depend on the rain. Drinking water and sanitation facilities are also lacking. The ecological conditions have also become fragile.
