Aim/Objective/Mission : Vision is following the principles of non-violence, self-reliance, egalitarianism and participatory democracy, the lakshya public charitable trust visualizes setting up of a vibrant Indian society where each and every individual would be able to access to development opportunities and also enjoy the fruits of mainstream development. Mission creation of enabling socio-economic and cultural environment for all round development of all communities living in India by transforming their orthodox /traditional/ and obsolete social set up has been the mission of lakshya. Objectives the prime objective of lakshya has been to inculcate the sense of equality, fraternity, liberty, mutual respects, self-reliance, etc among the common Indian masses especially from among the most vulnerable communities so that they could be able to enjoy the fruits of mainstream development and also acquire abilities to manage the locally available productive resources for their wellbeing other objectives of lakshya include the following: to raise awareness / consciousness and scientific temper amongst the masses especially among the vulnerable/deprived section of populations on prime socio-economic issues and thereby enabling them to realize their due roles and responsibilities in recognizing their legitimate rights/entitlements and felt needs; to mobilize targeted masses to form into cbos (like village development committee, mata samities, parent and teacher s committees and take up necessary activities to ensure 100% enrolment and retention of the children (between 6 and 18 years of age) in schools along with quality education; to do liaisoning and advocacy with government and other stakeholders to ensure child, adolescent reproductive and general health, menstrual hygiene, nutrition, quality education, access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, abolition of child slavery, child and human rights, sustainable livelihood to the workers of vulnerable communities, reduction of infant and maternal mortality, rehabilitation of street and abused children, implementation of government run and managed social security programmes, etc. To form child, adolescent, youth and women groups for their development and mainstreaming through skill development trainings and exposures and also executing development programmes/projects; to organize life skill and vocational skill development trainings for the educated unemployed youths and adults for promotion of self-employment; to rescue and rehabilitate the children in hazardous occupations, street children, trafficked and sexually/physically abused children/women, and disaster affected people etc. To sensitize the younger generation to pay due attention to disabled and regards to old aged people. To provide shelter to the deserted girls/women and old aged people. To sensitize the masses as well as government service providers to ensure social security of the disabled, old aged people and most vulnerable people to disseminate innovative indigenous but modern knowledge, tools and technology for the promotion of agriculture and agro-based industries through organizing workshops, seminars, conferences, etc.
