Purpose : Development of rural women and children
Aims/Objectives/Mission : Sakthi Rural Education & Women’s Development Trust was the emergence of committed adults, who dedicated their lives for the emancipation of the down trodden poor, particularly the salt pan workers, agri-basedlabourers, unskilled labourers. The rural women were in miserable Condition, biased by caste, culture and communal disparities. They were to be relieved from these barriers, for which on organizational structure was needed. A committed people of five joined together and got the government recognition as trust in 2006. To start formal, non formal and adult education centers for the benefit ofthe socially, economically and educationally poor people. To start economic development and activities for the rural and urban poor by starting vocational centers. To establish educational and technical institutions from primary to college level and pre degree course including hospitals, teachers training colleges and medical colleges.
