Purpose : Social Work.
Aim/Objective/Mission : Provide a better future for the marginalized and vulnerable sections of indian society. Sun aims to empower dalits women, children, disabled etc to enable them realize their rights through education, social and human rights awareness by collective action. Liberate the dalits and the vulnerable sections of society by bringing about a structural change in their socio-economic life. Work globally against discrimination based on work and descent. Campaign for the dignity of the marginalized sections of indian society. Hold the state accountable for violations of human rights. Bring awareness among the exploited lot especially those engaged in caste-based menial jobs and the bonded labor system. Bring the dalit community into the mainstream of national development by working with political leaders, intellectuals and dalit activists at all levels. Implement a hunan rights education campaign aimed at community mobilization and social empowerment. Sun aims at constant advocacy and lobbying with government on issues of dalit human rights. It seeks to lobby the government for the implementation of various international conventions dealing with caste issues to which indiais a signatory. Also disseminate information regarding national and international laws relating to dalit rights. Hold the state accountable through monitoring and intervention vision: promote a human rights culture in society by working towards the empowerment of the dalits, tribals, women, children and civil society and law enforcement agencies through education and awareness and protecting dalit, women rights, child human rights through legal intervention. Mission: empowerment of the marginalized, especially dalits and the vulnerable, marginalized sections of the society to enable them realize their rights through collective action in khammam district of andhra pradesh state of india, starting from the grass root level.
