Purpose : Sustainable agricultural and rural development.
Aims/Objectives/Mission : This 20 year old research organization’s major objective is to link science and sustainable development, particularly of agriculture, and rural & tribal villages. For this a mission mode activitiy plan is undertaken in six areas such as coastal systems biodiversity, biotechnology, eco-technology, food security, information, communication and training. Climate change is the cross-cutting subject area for all these six components.
