Purpose : Education and rehabilitation of the disable person in Orissa
Aims/Objectives/Mission : The Milton Charitable Foundation for the visually handicapped is a state level non profit able voluntary organization fighting for the cause of rehabilitation, education, social security of the visually challenged people. Due to stagnating improvement in the visually challenged community it was founded on 21st March 2004 to overcome the major challenges like, shortage of Braille and recorded materials, inadequate job oriented training and placement, lack up of socio-economic rehabilitation. From its inauguration it has provided a platform to visually disabled people for their all-round development. It has also been functioning as a ventilation of the grievances of visually impaired society. It aims to promote computer literacy among the blind person. Digital Talking book studio, Braille and recoreded book library and resource center are 3 projects currently running by this organization. For under matric blind persons it has planned to establish a training and production center on coming years.
