Aim/Objective/Mission : We aim to sensitize the nation towards the plight and human rights of prisoners, who in most cases are neither tried nor released, making them the forgotten, voiceless outcasts of the country. To create the right opportunities and awareness for the vulnerable and socially marginalized youth to steer them away from criminal activities and hence reduce the occurrence of crime. To prevent further criminalization of first time offenders. To bring social equality, dignity and justice to prisoners at par with rule of the law. To represent marginalized sections of society. To empower marginalized groups of society through education and economic opportunities, facilitated by tying up with the government and philanthropic institutions. To sensitize youth and vulnerable groups of society against crime, through regular cultural activities in colleges. Initiate health and overall development programs for the weaker sections of society. To liason between the prisoner, family, state agencies and cjs for custodial justice & successful rehabilitation of the prisoner. To professionally counsel hard-core criminals towards reform and rehabilitation. To educate prisoners as regards welfare schemes of the state government and help them access the same. To conduct research programs on various social inequities to update and improve the judicial system.
