Aim/Objective/Mission: Our main aim is to address the alarming degradation of the Melagiri region which comes under Hosur and Dharmapuri district. It is about 2400 sqkm in extent and exhibits mixed characteristics of the evergreen Western ghats region as well as the drier eastern ghats region of India. The corridor is used by elephant and other mammals.It is also home for aboriginal tribes Poojari and Irulas.
